| The friendly Shadwell committee funds and supports more drama than you can shake a stick at, if that’s your idea of a good time. Each Lent Term we team up with the Fletcher Players to run Smorgasbord – a delicious selection of Cambridge’s finest new short plays. And as well as funding shows in the Corpus Playroom and the ADC, we regularly send new writing to the Fringe and host fortnightly Open Mic nights in the luxurious Caius Bar. Shadwell also has free access to Caius’s surprisingly good Bateman Auditorium, which always boasts about its massive DVD projector, lighting desk, surround sound, and really comfy raked seating. We once had a 24-hour Wagner marathon in there. Shadwell welcomes enthusiastic people, whatever college they're from and whatever dramatic experience they have.
