Getting updates via RSS
The information contained in various parts of Camdram is exported regularly into an RSS feed, which you can subscribe to with a variety of desktop applications (including most popular email clients such as Mulberry, Mail.app, Thunderbird and Outlook) or via web services such as Google Reader ([
www.google.com/reader]). RSS allows you to receive updates to a large number of web sites within a single window, and without individually visiting each one. Wikipedia has a list of software that can be used for RSS, here: [
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_feed_aggregators].
Camdram has an RSS feed for the shows listed in the Diary section ([
www.camdram.net/shows/diary], and similarly a feed for forthcoming events, which are also listed on the Show Diary. Additionally, there is a feed for all advertised production team vacancies, as listed here: [
www.camdram.net/positions/production].
To subscribe to the feed in most browsers, visit one of the pages listed above. On the right of the grey bar beneath the main Camdram logo (which has "login" on the left hand side), there should be a link saying, for example, "RSS shows feed". This is a link to the RSS file. What you do with this file depends on your RSS reading program: please consult the "help" pages for the software to find out more, or try searching Google.
