Shows which are opening applications for technical or production roles will send their require-ments and contact details to one or more society email lists (particularly the ADC Techie’s List – emaillists.cuadc.org). We try hard to collate this information on our website (tech.camdram.net) but to make sure you don’t miss out, subscribing to one or more email lists doesn’t hurt. If you apply, the
producer or
director will normally invite you to one or more informal interviews to discuss the show’s requirements and your ideas.
It’s often the case that more than one person applies for each position, in which case you may get turned down. Try not to be put off – just apply for another show! Occasionally you might be offered a job other than the one you applied for (as an assistant, for instance).
