Homerton Amateur Theatrical Society is one of Cambridge's most vibrant, active and welcoming theatre societies.
HATS is dedicated to presenting top-class established drama and new writing, aiding and assisting Homerton's fantastic pool of theatrical talent and making a valuable contribution to Cambridge's thriving drama scene.
We also have a thriving Theatre in Education strand, giving our members the opportunities to run workshops in local schools and other educational events tied to our main productions.

Homerton Amateur Theatrical Society posted: **EXTENDED DEADLINE COMMITTEE APPLICATIONS** Applications for the Homerton Amateur Theatrical Society 2016-2017 committee are now open! Applications will close on the 21st June! We're looking for a new president, treasurer, secretary (inc. social secretary duties), writers' rep, actors' rep, technical rep and directors' rep! You may also apply to be a general committee member! - Please send a cover letter detailing your relevant experience (of no more than a single side of A4) to bjd45@cam.ac.uk - Please detail your preferred position and a second preference. Homerton Amateur Theatrical Society posted: **EXCITING NEWS!** On the 22nd of June HATS are planning a HATSTANDS Variety show in the orchard at Homerton! This is a chance for anyone with ANY talent to get involved. If you want to sing, dance, read poetry, play an instrument, balance spoons on your face, comedy etc then please get in touch!! We are looking for people to share their talents and celebrate Homerton (hopefully in the sun!). HATS are looking for shows to be performed at Homerton in May week! We have three AMAZING spaces on offer: the auditorium (which is a huge and versatile space); the small studio (which is small black-box studio); and our beautiful orchard!!! Want to put on Shakespeare, Alice in Wonderland, Poetry, Wilde, musicals, devised work, new writing? We are open to applications for anything and anyone! Homerton Amateur Theatrical Society posted: Cambridge Alumni and successful young director Simon Evans will be coming to Homerton College Auditorium on Tuesday 29th November to give a talk about progressing from University into professional directing. There will also be a Q&A session in which you can ask him any advice about pursuing a career in directing/ the theatre industry or discuss any productions you are currently directing in Cambridge.
