The Cambridge University Gilbert and Sullivan Society invite you to audition for our Michaelmas production of 'Iolanthe', a comic tale of dainty, deadly fairies and stuck-up, stupid peers. You can read the libretto here . Please prepare **any song of your choosing** to sing to us. We will also ask you to read a short extract of dialogue, which will be available on the day. AUDITIONS for 'Iolanthe' (CUG&S, Week 5) Fisher Building, St John's

'Iolanthe' is a hilarious tale of star-crossed lovers, chaotic fairies and pompous lords. CUG&S are looking for performers to take part in our Michaelmas production. With principal roles available for all voice parts, and an enjoy programme of numbers for the chorus, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved in one of the most popular theatrical phenomena of all time - Gilbert and Sullivan.

We would like auditionees to prepare a song to sing for us. If you already know a G&S song, it might be good to choose that, but you will not be disadvantaged by singing something else - choose something you think you do well! We will also do a range test, and we might teach you a few bars of music. You will also be asked to read an excerpt of dialogue from the show, which will be provided.
