THE MEDIUM (GIRTON OPERA 2023) IS LOOKING FOR AN ACTOR TO PLAY TOBY (NO SINGING REQUIRED!)

We are looking for an actor of any gender to play the role of Toby, a mute boy who works for the eponymous medium, Madame Flora. The part is silent throughout and therefore we especially encourage actors who feel confident expressing themselves through action/facial expression to apply! We are looking for an actor of any gender to play the role of Toby in our production of 'The Medium' by Gian Carlo Menotti, which will be staged in Girton College Chapel, 16th-18th of November. The part has no spoken/sung lines, so some experience with non-verbal acting (e.g. mime, dance, physical theatre) is recommended (but not at all necessary.)

We will run the auditions in a workshop style, giving you various prompts/exercises and parts of the opera to act out. Auditions will last 20 minutes.
Auditions will be held at Girton College on:
Friday, October 6th 2-5pm,
Saturday, October 7th, 2-5pm
