Pembroke New Cellars: Re-opening of Applications for New Writing Competition
Applications for the Second Annual Pembroke Players' New Writing Competition are now re-opened!
The winner will be awarded funding by the Pembroke Players, a run at the New Cellars during Lent Term 2009 and support for an ADC application for Lent if desired.
Last year's winner, "The Tale of Lancelot Sebastian von Ludendorff" by Tom Ovens successfully achieved a critically acclaimed one night stand at the ADC and a lateshow run at the New Cellars, and the runner-up, "Skates" by Cat Gerrard also had a successful run at the ADC.
Applications should include a summary of the play, the script IN FULL and any other details you feel would help us decide on its viability - see the Applications section of the website (www.pembrokeplayers.org) for ideas of what we look for. Details should be sent to Jessi Savage-Hanford at js665 by 6pm on Saturday 11th October - the first Saturday of Michaelmas term.
Contact Jessi with any other questions, or Patrick (phmc2) with any budget questions.
All genres and lengths (either mainshow or lateshow) are welcome, so do not miss this excellent opportunity, and good luck with writing it over the summer!
Deadline: Saturday 11th October, 6pm
