THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE @ MINACK 2024 looking for COMPANY MANAGER

Attention opera and theatre lovers, the Cambridge University Gilbert and Sullivan Society are looking for a Company Manager to take on the challenge of looking after our company and crew on a large-scale production of the infamous Pirates of Penzance at the Minack theatre in Cornwall in September 2024.

The Company Manager is a vital role that is central to the success of the show. This position has a strong focus on domestic responsibilities, making it well-suited for someone who thrives in a summer camp-like environment.

The core duties of the Company Manager include:

• Planning all meals for the majority of the company over the 3-week Cornwall residency
• Ordering food supplies for the daily meals and handling the luxuries orders (items that people request to be added to the frequent shops e.g drinks & sweets)
• Coordinating the cooking, which may involve enlisting helpers
• Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the Church Hall, often by creating and overseeing a chore rotation to ensure all company members contribute
• Serving as the head of welfare and social cohesion, which can involve appointing welfare representatives to provide feedback and keep the manager informed of any issues
