As the oldest independent drama company in the university, Cambridge
Mummers is famous as the home for new writing in Cambridge. Writer’s Block
is a series designed to nurture new writing for theatre and provide a forum
for writers in Cambridge. Supported by the Soho Theatre Writer’s Centre and
some of the leading professionals in theatre this series hopes to encourage
beginners and those more experienced on how to write a script and then get
it performed.

Writer’s Block is will provide an aspiring writer with an overview of what
it takes to be successful in writing for contemporary theatre.

Remember, it doesn’t matter where you are (or think you are) as a writer.
If you have and idea for a play (a short piece or a full play) or you’re in
search of an idea or just plain curious then Writer’s Block is for you.
