    Churchill Archives Centre presents...

Between the Devil and the Deep Sea
    By Lady Randolph Churchill

19:00, Sat 12th May 2018 at Wolfson Lecture Hall, Churchill College, Cambridge
    Easter Week 2

Come witness the WORLD PREMIERE reading of Lady Randolph Churchill's play, 'Between the Devil and the Deep Sea.' This is the third play written by Lady Randolph, mother of Winston Churchill. Though her first two plays were produced in 1909 and 1913, her third has never been performed or even academically referenced before. This staged reading will be the first time the work has been presented to the public. The reading will be prefaced by a short introduction about Lady Randolph Churchill and some contemporary context about female playwrights at the turn of the century.

Directed and produced by Holly Dayton, University of Cambridge MPhil, in collaboration with the Churchill Archives.

    Graphic design by Camilla Franklin.
