By Vision

16:30, Sat 20th July 2019 at The Junction Theatre
Summer Vacation

You have heard us performing elsewhere in Europe? Maybe you missed our 5 minute sneak preview in the beginning of this month? Now is your chance to come and see our full production in a city this all started in; Cambridge!

WHO ARE WE?
Vision is an international physical theatre company that started only a few months ago in Cambridge but have already gained international interest across several venues in Europe.
This July we are pleased to share the news that we have been selected to perform as a part of Hotbed Theatre Festival 2019!!

WHAT IS HOTBED FESTIVAL?
HOTBED is Menagerie Theatre Company’s annual festival of new writing and new work in association with and supported by Cambridge Junction.

WHAT'S THE PLAY ABOUT?
Voiceover is our debut play about abandoned toys that are suddenly disrupted by a Voice that forces them to act like empty vessels. Any potential threat to the system is uprooted, and all languages are forbidden. In a spiral of psychological and physical violence, the play explores the power of fear. When everything seems lost, nostalgic memories come back to reveal what has been forgotten.

This physical theatre performance is a metaphorical representation of the world we live in, where different identities and language diversity are seen as a threat rather than a strength. An invitation to think out of the box and speak up.

Featuring Johanna Tuominen, Déa Ràk, Anna Spiridonova, Emiliano Miles Troiano
