Brickhouse Theatre CompanyBTC

Brickhouse Theatre Company is the resident theatre company of Robinson College, Cambridge. Every year we hold several productions in our two wonderful venues: the well equipped 240-seater Robinson Auditorium and the beautiful outside amphitheatre, the Maria Bjรถrnson Theatre. We also help fund shows in other venues around Cambridge and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Recent in-house Brickhouse shows have included: 'Blood and Iceโ€™, โ€˜Dogfight', 'Jerusalem', 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', 'Songs for a New World', 'American Idiot', 'Spring Awakening' and 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. Shows we have funded have included: 'The Winter's Tale' (ADC Theatre), 'Partition' (Corpus Playroom), and 'No Cash Left on the Premises Overnight' (ADC Theatre).

Applications for show funding, or to direct a show in either of our two venues, are always welcome. We are also keen to here from people interested in getting involved in other aspects of the theatre, from light and sound and set design, to front of house. While we will advertise for specific projects, please feel free to apply speculatively using the application form available on our website: www.brickhouse.soc.srcf.net.

Brickhouse remains very open to members of other colleges and responds positively to all interest expressed. Feel free to get in contact at any time, whatever your interest or experience!

Tusk Tusk (Week 5 Brickhouse Show) is opening audition slots for October! ๐Ÿ˜

In a London flat, surrounded by unpacked boxes, cider cans, and a telephone, three children are playing hide and seek- in more ways than one... Written by award-winning playwright Polly Stenham, Tusk Tusk explores the dysfunctionality of a family abandoned by their mentally-ill mother. Sibling banter and sarcasm transform into frightening emotional outbursts, violence, and a lingering sense that their lives of these children are irreparably disturbed.
