The Production Manager is responsible for the organisation of the technical aspects of the show. You will need to manage the lighting, sound, set, and stage departments as well as helping to organise accommodation and logistics for the technical members of the team. The Production Manager works closely with the Producers and the theatre - you need to be a good communicator with some experience of technical theatre; some experience of producing would be helpful.
In 2021, Covid measures may necessitate some restrictions to budget and man-power for the technical team.
Please include in your application:
- Why you want to Production Manage H.M.S. Pinafore at the Minack
- Any relevant experience you have
- What particular challenges you expect to face doing a show this year, and how you might respond to them*
- Your availability for interview from 10-11th March 2021 (inclusive).
*We're not expecting you to predict what government guidelines will be by September, don't panic; we just want to see that you've thought through some of the potential problems!
Please email your applications to email@example.com by midnight on Friday 5th March 2021. Do also feel free to get in touch with any questions!
PLEASE NOTE: Due to ongoing uncertainties caused by COVID-19, CUG&SS can make no guarantees at this stage that the show will definitely be able to go ahead (though with the roadmap announced on 22nd February we are optimistic!). We will remain in close communication with the venue and continue to monitor the situation.
