Assistant Producer for Cambridge's newest comedy show!
A Very Special Place
12:00, Sat 15th November 2025 – Wed 25th March 2026 Venue to be confirmedMichaelmas Week 5 to Lent Week 9
We are looking for an Assistant Producer to join the team behind Cambridge's brand new satirical talk show: 'A Very Special Place'. After incredible initial engagement, our sights are set on producing four episodes before the end of Lent. We need someone who can help make this happen. We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills and a commitment to learning everything that goes on behind the scenes of film/TV. If you have an inkling that a career in visual media is for you, this opportunity is perfect! Please fill in the following google form to register your application: https://forms.gle/v1csHhQYqU7qYQpY7
'A Very Special Place' explores the idiosyncrasies of Cambridge student life from within. We all know this place is odd - it's about time we commit its oddity to the screen. With the primary goal of having fun, and making people laugh along the way, 'A Very Special Place' has ambitions to attract a wide audience of people from Cambridge and beyond.
Aidan, Co-founder and Creative Director of Silver Street Productions, is working as the series Producer . He would love some support with both administrative and creative tasks from another student at the University of Cambridge. Whether it's helping find and secure locations, creating call sheets, offering hands on set, aiding the show's social presence, or a wide variety of other tasks, the job of Assistant Producer will be busy and far from boring!
Aidan is willing to train the individual in everything they would need to help out, so do not be put off applying from a lack of experience. We want to hear from as many people as possible - and there is even scope for having more than one person come onboard depending on how next term pans out!
NB: We value diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from people from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. The application form asks for this information on the basis of wanting to actively influence opportunities for under represented groups - there is no compulsion to disclose this information should you not wish to.

After applications close, we will be conducting interviews with short-listed candidates across the first few weeks of the new year. We look forward to hearing from you!
