Lent Week 6
Candlelight ripples as night falls on the fishbowl. Prospero's followers think that they're on an island, under constant attack from outsiders.
Shakespeare's play was first performed on a candlelit night in James I's court. Our production brings to life the original's magic and mystery for Trinity College Chapel.
This dystopian reimagining of Shakespeare's iconic play presents Prospero as an artist and cult leader, an authorial magus who creates a reality for his followers. A strikingly visual psychodrama, this show uses elements of the play's original score to create an immersive soundscape. Magic, art, and reality blur -- for two nights only.
