˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ SAVITRI is looking for a CAST! ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗

Savitri, Holst's only completed opera of Indian origin, is looking for a cast! We are looking to fill the roles of Savitri (Soprano), Satyavan (Tenor), Death (Baritone), and a chorus of six (SSAA).

We are endeavouring to put on an opera in Michaelmas term which bridges the divide between Western and South Asian cultures with as much BME/South Asian representation in our cast and crew as possible. Come join our production this November - an intimate performance of Gustav Holst's Savitri with a small cast of three principals and a chorus of six. This is an opportunity for us to create a space that celebrates BME/South Asian contributions to art in Cambridge and will be accompanied by performances in music and dance surrounding the opera!
