SWEETFANTASY THE FILM SHOOTING 11/26 CAST NEEDED

SWEETFANTASY THE FILM SHOOTING 11/26
00:00, Sun 1st November – Thu 31st December 2026 at N/A
Michaelmas Week 4 to Christmas Vacation

This film concerns two people who can’t bear to be apart!!! They live together in a motel room on the outskirts of town. The hotel is cheap and built in the 1970s and is like any other place in suburban England in autumn.

The film concerns two characters principally:

(the gender categorisation of both these characters slips from scene to scene. Really it doesn’t matter.)

B travels into town to attend inductions and is never home. A is lost without B and misses them and films themself endlessly on their phone (their body, their actions etc.) in order to try and cope without B being there.

    B is diabetic.

The film plays out in small ways, in short segments of dialogue between the two characters as they try to negotiate the fact they no longer want to be with each other, and in the moments A spends working on the act of filming their own body, in the left behind places on the outskirts of town.

Images are the primary way in which the two characters are described, and the camera throughout the film is always getting lost amongst the detail of the two: the way their hands work, their pacing, their smiles.

They smoke cigarettes outside the methodist church and walk endlessly around the mall. They wear Shein and LuLulemon and dye their hair blonde.

B can't remember what they're doing in this town, why they came, what remains of the reasons they had for being with A.

They both thought it made sense but now they realise it doesn't.

Within the script parts not related to the direct performance of the actors is intended as support to the further development of the content.

Directions given that do not relate to explicit action should still be taken as explicit instruction – either for the actors themselves or for the sequence of images the camera will produce in relation to them:

The production of the film will be a collaboration; the written script is by no means prescriptive and the scenes will be worked out with the whole team, actors included, to try and find the right images needed :)))
