When you walk into a museum, the last thing you expect is to be confronted by your own forgotten history. For the Shepherd family, the unexpected comes true. After entering the Fitzwilliam in search of their misbehaving son, they soon realise they are searching for much more than him. Sometimes touching, often funny, Toby Young and Katy Austin's accessible new opera leads its characters and audience through the galleries of the Fitzwilliam Museum, showing how our past is always waiting to surprise us; and that we often lose sight of the things and people which are closest to us.
