Savitri, Holst's only completed opera of Indian origin, is looking for an orchestra! We are looking for four Violinists, 2 Violists, 2 Cellists, 1 Double Bass Player, and a Flautist.

We are endeavouring to put on an opera in Michaelmas term which bridges the divide between Western and South Asian cultures with as much BME/South Asian representation in our cast, crew and orchestra as possible. Come join our production this November - an intimate performance of Gustav Holst's Savitri with a small cast of three principals and a chorus of six. Alongside the opera will be performances of Bharatnatyam dance and Hindustani vocal music. This is an opportunity for us to create a space that celebrates BME/South Asian contributions to art in Cambridge.
