Michaelmas Week 7

Looking for a low-commitment way to round of term with singing? Join us for our one night cabaret (29th Nov 7.30-9 at St Giles' church) to sing a G+S number from any of their shows! No limits, no theme, no staging required - think bar night style if you've been to one of those!

Full details in pack for applying: https://docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/1GDaQ7DCnclv6VAFRdq5Z-05as5y2i8tamFZfak4BMUE/edit?usp=drivesdk

Audition to perform a solo or group piece for the first Gilbert and Sullivan society event of the 2025-2026 academic year! This Cabaret will be a fun way to meet members old and new from the society and to perform in a fun and more relaxed environment ahead of the busy term of shows. Auditions will be done via self-tape videos. You are not required to sing a Gilbert and Sullivan piece for the audition, though all pieces to be performed in the cabaret will have to be Gilbert and Sullivan. The production team is happy to help performers select pieces if they are not familiar with the works of G&S but would like to become involved!

Audition videos should be between 1-4 minutes and should accurately demonstrate your vocal range and ability, this is more crucial if you are auditioning with a different piece to that which you intend on performing at the Cabaret. If you have a G&S piece in mind for the performance, please audition with the piece you intend on performing.

If you would like to be involved in a group performance, we can also coordinate this. Again, please audition with a piece which accurately represents your range.

This show will run for one night and will have just a few rehearsals. Think CUMTS bar night but G+S! We will likely run around 2 rehearsal sessions in the week ahead of the show.

Contact secretary@gands.org.uk before 22nd Nov 2025 23:00 for more details.
