Seeking ACTORS for A Cauldron of BATS!

Inside a circus tent made of memory, P.T. Barnum introduces a family once famous enough to rival his own name: Booth. In this extract of the full-length play, the Booth brothers are still young boys—until their childhood is ripped away from them when their famous tragedian father decides to take Edwin on tour and sends John Wilkes to a strict military boarding school. Years later, their story will collide with American history: the older brother becomes the most famous Shakespearean actor of his age, and the younger assassinates President Abraham Lincoln. As scripture meets Shakespeare, and love turns into rivalry through overlapping letters, the play asks: how a family myth begins—and how a future tragedy is rehearsed long before it happens.
