Do you want to perform King Lear across the US? Auditions for the annual Shakespeare tour are now open!

How to audition?
1) Choose one of the nine monologues in the audition pack - you can select either based on the character you’d like to be considered for in Lear, or on the monologue you feel most drawn to.
2) Please read the contextual notes provided at the start of each monologue, curated by the directing team.
3) You are NOT required to be offbook ❤️
4) If none of the monologues are suitable for you, please email your suggested other monologue to armas2@cam.ac.uk, ec954@cam.ac.uk, and lh885@cam.ac.uk. Please include either a link to the text or a copy-and-paste of the monologue, along with any relevant content warnings and its source. We will get back to you as soon as possible regarding its suitability. We hope the monologues listed below offer enough range for you to find something that appeals, but we completely understand if individual circumstances require alternative arrangements.

Audition Timings/Locations:
11th February, Downing JCR, 10.30am-5.30pm
12th February, Downing JCR, 10am-6pm
13th February, Downing JCR, 9am-8pm
15th February, Pembroke New Cellars, 9am-12pm (wheelchair accessible location, please try to leave these slots free for those who require it, unless no other slots are available)
