Clare May Play Director Applications

We are looking for a DIRECTOR  to PITCH a show for our 2026 May Play in the beautiful Sunken Garden.

We are delighted to announce that Clare’s annual May Week Play will once again be held in Clare’s beautiful Sunken Garden, and we need YOU to pitch a show to direct!

This role will involve: Pitching a play: choosing a show and coming up with a creative vision; generally bringing the play to life scene by scene. Forming a production team (including an assistant director(s)  , producer(s) , publicity officer(s) to work with. Casting and working with a team of actors, and directing their performances. As well as working with the Clare Actors Committee on production and safety elements. (We will also be accepting applications from co-directors  if you wish to apply in a pair.)

22nd, 23rd, 24th June
