Michaelmas Week 2
We're looking for a Chief Electrician to support the Lighting Designers for this Michaelmas Week 2 show at the Brickhouse Theatre in Robinson!
Responsibilities will include
- Assisting with the rigging and focussing of lights
- Supporting the Lighting Designers generally
- Being a flexible pair of hands willing to assist the technical deliverance of the production
- This role is open to both experienced and totally beginner candidates! We are super willing to teach you how to do this role - as long as you are willing to learn on the job!
Availability
While exact dates for the lead-in to the production are yet to be finalised, we expect the majority of the work for this role will be focussed on the 15th-20th October: strong availability for this period is necessary. Some availability will be required throughout the w/c 12th October.

About the Show
New York, 1971. There’s a party on the stage of the Weismann Theatre. Tomorrow the iconic building will be demolished. Thirty years after their final performance, the Follies girls gather to have a few drinks, sing a few songs and lie about themselves. Featuring the classic songs "Broadway Baby," "Losing My Mind" and "I'm Still Here."
Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's legendary musical re-opens the Robinson Brickhouse Theatre ahead of the college's 50th anniversary celebrations. With a large cast, orchestra and stunning design, this will mark the first Cambridge production of the musical masterpiece since 2008.
