PITCHING OPEN for CUMTS Cabarets Michaelmas 2026

CUMTS Cabarets are back for the Michaelmas 2026 term! We are looking for 3 different pitches of new stories to be performed alongside your favourite Musical Theatre classics!

What is a Cabaret?

In short, a cabaret is whatever you want it to be; it can be an arrangement of musical theatre
songs in a way which tells a story, it can include dance numbers, it can be more of a concept
rather than a story. If you have a story that needs telling, and think it would be made even better by your favourite Musical Theatre songs, then a CUMTS Cabaret is for you! CUMTS cabarets will generally have smaller cast sizes, from around 1-5 people, and will be performed in the ADC Larkum Studio.

We are looking for pitches primarily from performers; from there it will be up to you if you want to advertise for a director or associate director, or if you’d like to direct yourselves.
