1816 is looking for a new cast member - POLIDORI

We are looking for a new Polidori, the protagonist of our musical, for the Cambridge run. Ideally this is someone based in Cambridge as a student as rehearsals will take place in the first two weeks of term. Polidori was hired to be Byron’s travelling doctor, but as time goes on, it becomes clear he is there to tidy up Byron’s messes after him. He is ambitious and wants to advance his writing career, looking to Byron for both guidance and companionship, but is snubbed by him and the others, who view him as nothing more than a nuisance. He feels overlooked and underappreciated, and eventually gives up trying to fight for recognition and instead takes back his power by exposing Byron’s flaws and mistreatment to the world through his novel, The Vampyre.

1816 is looking for an Assistant Director and Assistant Producer and a Get-In Coordinator

We are looking for an AD/AP combined to help us with the London and Cambridge upcoming runs. This is technically a professional AD credit if you join us for the London run as we are a stand-alone company there. The role would include creative direction and assisting Gina in executing a combined creative vision (working with a show that has already premiered but is undergoing changes and needs a fresh eye), as well as assisting with show admin in the run-up to the next Camden run. *** We are also looking for a technician experienced in get-ins, especially lighting and editing a base rig for the requirements of our show. You would be working closely with our lighting designer , Rob Woodland, who is also available to operate during the show.
