Lent Week 6

The Cambridge Opera Workshop is a new opera-making endeavour bringing together young composers, librettists and opera-makers to create new work under professional mentorship. It aims to foster a continued rich tradition of new music and theatre-making in Cambridge, create a hub for creation and discussion adjacent to both academia and professional opera-making, and expose new audiences to this dynamic and highly engaging art form.

After a highly successful first workshop of these scenes in November, this performance will showcase five new mini-operas with music and words by current students and recent graduates of the University of Cambridge, exploring everything from Ancient Greek tragedy to a night at the movies.
