Lent Week 4

Full of deception, romance and farce, London Assurance is a Victorian comedy-of-manners in six acts revolving around the wealthy, foppish Sir Harcourt Courtly, eager to marry the young Grace Harkaway. Grace, however, admires another man, Sir Harcourt's son, Charles, who, with the help of the dry and witty valet Cool, pretends to be 'Augustus Hamilton' to woo her away from his father. With full-of-life characters like the foxhunting Lady Gay Spanker, the scheming lawyer Mr Meddle and jolly East Londoner Dazzle, this DDS adaptation of Boucicault's highly acclaimed work is not one to miss!
