“Can you tell me how a celebrated Shakespearean actor becomes the assassin of a president?”

Narrated by P.T. Barnum and shown through the lens of an older Edwin Booth, the show unfolds inside a circus tent of memory, where history, performance, and spectacle collide. Woven through Edwin’s recollections of his younger brother, John Wilkes Booth, is the unlikely but true friendship between Barnum and Lincoln. The story traces the rise and fall of the Booth brothers: one destined to become the preeminent actor of his time, the other destined to assassinate President Abraham Lincoln.

This new musical blends theatre, history, and spectacle.
