Emma Reeves’ adaptation of Little Women will be the ADC’s Week Six Mainshow in Lent Term. Applications are now open for Carpenters / Set Builders  to help bring the characters of this new production of a beloved tale to life.

Is art a way for us to conjure back what has been lost? Emma Reeves’ adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s 150-year-old story of family, growing-up and survival brings this question into focus. It is a question that Alcott grapples with in her semi-autobiographical novel, written in the wake of her sister’s death. In writing about a family based on her own, Alcott brought back to life her memories of her sister, their childhood, and a time when dreams might still become realities.
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed carpenters to assist with the construction of the set for this production. This role is ideal for anyone interested in practical theatre-making, scenic construction, or gaining hands-on experience in a mainshow environment. Prior experience is welcomed but not essential, enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn are key
