IN PERSON AUDITIONS OPEN FOR BATS WEEK 7 SHOW [BLANK]

Auditions open for the BATS week 7 show!! [BLANK] by Alice Birch tells the story of a mother and a daughter, struggling to overcome the complications in their life. We are looking for a company of actos and theatre-makers to help bring this powerful story to life.

She can’t stay away.
She sold drugs.
She’s good at interrogations.
She drinks in the mornings.
She ate a rabbit.
She smashed up a shop.
She stabbed a man.
She used a hammer.
She had a baby.
She can’t find a mother.
She’s covered in blood and doesn’t know why.

The total play has 100 scenes and we are constructing our own show from the scenes available. We are looking for people to join our team who are interested in constructing and performing the play with us. Our rehearsal room will allow for everyone in the team to direct at least one scene from the play, as well as performing in others. If you want to know more, don’t hesitate to contact us.

The play will focus on the complicated relationship between a mother and a daughter and how it impacts those around them. The play was written by Alice Birch in collaboration with Clean Break theatre company. Clean Break work with women affected by the criminal justice system and the basis of their work is verbatim.
