GHOST is looking for a DIRECTOR!

Hi! I'm Kaitlin, a 2nd year English student at Lucy Cav, and I'm really excited to be opening for a director  for 'Ghost', a one-act extract from my play being performed at Downing's Festival of New Writing.

Hi! I'm Kaitlin, a 2nd year English student at Lucy Cav, and I'm really excited to be opening for a director  for 'Ghost', a one-act extract from my play being performed at Downing's Festival of New Writing.

‘Ghost’ follows Sophie, who has recently died in a tragic accident. However, instead of passing over to a better (or worse) place, she is trapped in a state of purgatorial observance: she is watching her family and friends as they grieve, but they cannot hear or see or hear her, so she cannot intervene.

It sounds heavy, I understand, but it was so important to me to explore grief in this way. It is a universal experience, and influences every piece of media we consume in some way, and yet it's also so personal and, ultimately, indescribable. I was really interested in this tension and in creating a space to talk about grief, explore how it affects our relationships, and how someone might react watching it from a distance.
