Into The Woods is looking for assistant stage managers , followspot operators, mic runners and sound operators!

Hi there! Thank you for considering signing up to be part of the into the woods show crew (as assistant stage manager , follow-spot operator, mic runner or sound operator)

Please fill out this form to sign up: https://forms.gle/LLQjUcJx9qq5bCiz5

An assistant stage manager  (ASM ) helps backstage during a show with a variety of jobs like getting the stage ready for a performance, taking messages between departments, setting props, changing scenery, operating counterweights, helping with costume changes, dancing backstage during songs and more! It’s a perfect introduction to technical theatre so we especially encourage people who have never done tech before to apply as the Stage Management Team will all be around to help you.

Follow-spot operators sit in the lighting bridges above the auditorium and use moving lights to follow characters around on the stage for key moments of the show and key lines. There is no experience required and the Lighting Designers (Angus and Eloise) will be around to help if you've never done it before.

Mic Runners are responsible for checking the radio mics are working properly and dealing with any sound issues as they arise during the show. The Sound Engineer (Dan) and/or Assistant Sound Engineer (Moses) will give you instructions on the day.

Sound Operators are responsible for pressing the space bar on a computer when instructed to by the Deputy Stage Manager (Gemma and Katie). No experience is required.

Whether you are a fresher who wants to learn more about how a show operates; an actor looking to get an edge on the rest of the cast before your next get-in/get-out; or an experienced techie who just needs more musicals in their life we’d love for you to join us! Any questions at all please message email any of the Stage Management Team
