AUDITION for LOLA is open

We are looking for four actors to bring Lola to the stage.

We’re looking for four actors for Lola, a new play about sleeping with your eyes open on an imaginary remote island.

Each actor will have one main role and will also play several smaller characters inside the dream scenes. The acting will not be naturalistic or based on Method acting. The performance will rely on movement and masks, while much of the text is written in free verse. The actors will also help design and perform the scene changes using a shifting set made from white fabric and rope.

If this approach is new to you, you’re still very welcome to audition. We will practise the techniques together during rehearsals.
