Be part of a radical new dramatisation of Orwell's dystopian classic that reveals a spiritual dimension to his premonitions. Successful applicants will participate in full-cast rehearsals with direct inspiration from the Fontainebleau School of Acting, taking your theatrical craft to the next level.

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Love is bondage

Junayd Islam, who created the near sell-out Desert Thirst and Jerusalem Winds, is back with another original play to enrapture audiences and inspire introspection.

Orwell’s celebrated dystopia is retold for the 21st Century with Shakespearean poetry and Sufi tales. A dramatisation driven by the desire for love and meaning.

An artistic associate of the Khayaal Theatre Company with training from the Fontainebleau School of Acting, Junayd is hoping to deliver a showcase of high quality acting. With this in mind, rehearsals are being designed around ensemble work, with exercises based off Fontainebleau technique to stimulate your growth as an actor.
