Feminist Open Mic Cabaret

19:45, Sun 1st December 2019 at St. John's College Bar
Michaelmas Week 8

Christ's and St. John's FemSocs are teaming up to bring to you this year's Open-Mic Cabaret Night!

An open-mic night with self-identifying female/non-binary/trans performers bringing to you anything from music to comedy to spoken word and we are particularly keen to have more stand-ups and sketches!

We are hosting this in solidarity with all Cambridge workers, and female workers around the world, whose skills and talents are undermined and undignified solely on the basis of their gender. We will be passing around a donation box for people to contribute as much as they can/are willing to. The money will go to the UCU's Hardship Strike Fund, in support of the least well paid and most precarious staff at the university who lose pay whilst they are on strike.

We encourage you to join us on this feminist night of entertainment where we will celebrate female/non-binary/trans talent and creativity in the best way we know how: exciting performances, good drinks and even better company!
Hope to see you all there!
