As soon as Madame leaves the house, the ceremony begins anew. Claire and Solange are sisters and maids in Madame’s household — and their only ambition is to get rid of her. They roleplay as maid and mistress, in a ritual always interrupted by the alarm clock before Madame can be murdered. But what happens when she comes home?
This psychological thriller, centered around unease and identity, lays bare the fragility of roles in theatre and life. In an experimental and immersive new production, which is focused on audience discomfort, physical theatre brings twisted dynamics to the fore and roles are examined from a queer lens.
