Antisemitism, racism, discrimination, reference to mutilation

'If you prick us, do we not bleed?
If you poison us, do we not die?
And if you wrong us, shall we not
    revenge?'

The Cambridge Union’s staging of Shakespeare’s most controversial play will challenge hypocrisy, privilege and prejudice, by turning his satire on The Union itself. Our production of The Merchant of Venice will confront the grotesque history of English Antisemitism; the Chamber itself represents long-established power structures that this unflinching performance refuses to ignore.

Loss, lies, and a pound of flesh — the first ever play produced by the Cambridge Union Society promises to be unforgettable.
