"Everybody's got the right to their dreams"

Assassins is a darkly comic musical exploring the stories of nine individuals who attempted (successfully or unsuccessfully) to assassinate Presidents of the United States. The show unfolds in a surreal and timeless setting where they share their motives, frustrations, and twisted dreams of achieving the American promise of success and recognition. The assassins confront both each other and the idea of the “American Dream,” revealing how personal disillusionment and societal alienation can lead to violence.

Blending dark humor, history, and political commentary, Assassins challenges audiences to question the cost of fame, the myth of the American Dream, and the fine line between desperation and notoriety. By the end of the show, Assassins becomes less about the people who pulled the triggers and more about societal influences which made them believe that doing so would make their lives matter.
