The relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth is one of the most interesting in literary history, but it is often overlooked that Lady Macbeth has, at some point, had a child that she has since lost. Our medieval Macbeth, performed amongst swathes of hanging cloth, looks to explore what we owe to our loved ones in times of strife, setting the titular marriage directly in the wake of a lost child.
