Cinderella is set in the kingdom of Newtopia, a bustling land ruled by the world's most incompetent king. Everyone in the kingdom works themselves to the bone to afford a meal deal from ye olde tesco express, whilst the king throws balls from his goose-stuffed pillows. But hey, at least you can win a ticket to the party in the annual tombola.
Cinderella is a young woman trapped unhappily in the household of her Stepmother and Stepsisters, after her dad got lost putting together package holidays in magical lands. She dislikes the pageantry of the kingdom and prefers to run around pulling pranks with her friend Buttons, and certainly isn't interested when the King announces the Prince seeks a bride.
But when the Prince and Cinderella meet and hit it off, Cinderella realises she can change her kingdom's future and her own, and works with her friends and the Prince to foil her stepmother's plans to marry into the royal family and the King's desire to continue his unfair rule. Her task is steep, but with a little help from her Fairy Godmother, she just might succeed.
Full of magic, adventure and energy, this panto will be chock a block of memorable characters and toe-tapping songs.
